Sunday I woke up and figured that since I knew how to open the door I would go a run and find the park where Ni said guys were playing football. I ran the streets carrying my ball in one hand and my bag of boots and trx and another. Circling the area, I couldn't find any football going on so I decided to come back to house and continue workout in garden. BUT on arrival, I found guys putting on their indoor shoes WOOHOO. More and more guys turned up and my wish to play seemed to be getting smaller. I just waited and watched and smiled on occasion, hoping they would ask me to play. And then they did :) I waited until there was a stop in play and then I got subbed on :) Yas!!!! I got to play for ages and kept thinking 'okay, 5 more minutes'. I decided to mark the young, show off boy and enjoyed every-time I took the ball of him and he got more annoyed. After about 45 minutes of playing, I saw Fabi coming in with a look of fear. 'I thought you were lost'. Oops! I felt like my mum had came to pick me up. 'Played 10 players on park and she was better than 9' was what the guy said to her when we are leaving. Poor family as they thought I had got lost or kidnapped. Bless them. Ni, Fabi and I then went out for cozinhas and chocolate milk. I choose chicken with cheese and it was much better than I expected. There are different variations of the original - for example, the coxinha mineira, for which the filling includes maize, named so because maize is deemed as a culinary tradition in the state of Minas Gerais, as well as areas where the caipira and sertanejo dialects are spoken. Cheese coxinhas are also very common in snack bars. To mark the cheese coxinhas they usually have a toothpick where the bone would be in a chicken coxinha. We then stopped at supermarket which I love to visit in new countries. Just to see the different foods and the way people shop. Once home, Ni made the best lasagne and rice. It was full of flavour like everything else she has made. Fabi and I made the pudding which was dolce de leite, condensed milk and fez wafer chocolates. Woah lots of food. We then watched the Brazil game on a huge screen. We also looked at photos and ate more pudding and popcorn. The time for the bus quickly came around and the whole family went to wave me off. So cute. Big waves and love feeling. Saudades.
