Scotland women's team took on Netherlands today in the play offs for 5th and 6th spot in the Cyprus Cup. The line up was: Fay, Jones, Beatie, Brown, Lauder, Sneddon, Crichton, Mitchell, Love, Little and Ross. This game allowed Jane Ross's to recieve her 50th cap. Scotland looked to dominate the possession to begin with and created a few chances. Around 20 minites into the game, One of Scotland's chances resulted in a red card for a Dutch player when Emma Mitchell was through on goal only to be taken down at the edge of the box. Quickly on the attack afterwards, Kim Little was composed in her finish when she took the ball around the keeper and powered a shot into the goal. Scotland dominated for the majority of the match and looked to play good football which secured 5th place. Following the game, I had the privilege of playing small sided games with the substitutes and wearing of Kim Little's boots. Scoring two goals on very tall Ian McCaldon, so I am very grateful for my kicking workshops with Aya and also for my Cinderella shoes from the Olympic star! A great last day of football in Cyprus before a days worth of travelling to return to the snow. Thank you Scottish Women's football team and the coaches for the opportunity to work with them all.
