As requested by the players of the City of Edinburgh football academy, we had a session dealing with nerves. With cup finals approaching, we spoke about what happens physically, cognitivity and behaviorally when we are anxious and additionally, how to deal with nerves. The girls practiced visualisation and breathing for relaxation and noted at the end of the session that they liked this. They also came up with their own ideas of coping with nerves and using them as a way to say "I am ready".
